The Apartment

The Apartment is the other half of the duplex that our managers live in. It is a spacious one-bedroom unit with a vast bedroom with a queen bed and a double bed in it. The large living room has a couch (that folds out to a queen hide-a-bed) and a futon chair that makes into a single bed for a child or a small adult.
There are large picture windows with beautiful hand-made wooden shelves and trim made by a local woodworker. These beautiful wood accents are in the bathroom as well. There is a large kitchen with a hand-made butcher block and a new counter top. AND the answer is YES to one of the most FAQ: "Does it have a fireplace?"
This unit sleeps 4, but with the futon chair, hide-a-bed and PLENTY of floor space, you've got lots of room for more people (please note that there is a $10 per person/per night charge for over 4 people in this unit).

Reservation and Cancellation Policies
As a smaller motel, we are greatly dependent upon our reservations and we have fairly specific policies. Please do take a moment to read them. Thank you.
Reservation Policies:
Deposits: A deposit equal to the first night of your stay (lodging unit price including tax and pet or extra person fees) is required for a firm reservation. The deposit is payable by VISA, Discover, MasterCard, check, money order, or cash. Once payment is received, the reservation is confirmed. A valid VISA, Discover, or MasterCard number is required for all reservations, regardless of how the deposit is paid.
Two-night Minimum: We require a two-night minimum on all weekends (we determine “weekends” to be any reservation that incorporates a Friday or a Saturday night) between March 1st and September 30th, and all holiday and Peninsula event weekends, regardless of the time of year. This policy requires non-refundable payment for the second night upon arrival.
Check-in: Begins at 3 pm
Check-out: Noon
Pet fee: We welcome your pet with a $10 (plus tax) per pet per night fee. Pet fees shall not exceed $40 (plus tax) per pet per stay. An additional $50 cleaning fee will apply if we are required to go beyond our usual cleaning regimen when cleaning your cottage or unit.
Extra person fee: $10 (plus tax) per person per night
- We do not provide cots, pads, or roll-aways for extra people; you may bring your own.
- We do not recommend more than one extra person beyond the 1- and 2-bed cottage occupancies or more than two extra persons beyond the Apartment occupancy. The Annex is a two-person-only occupancy cottage.
Children: Children ages 2 and under are free.
Group Rentals: This term will automatically apply to groups of 3 or more rentals by related or connected parties if the rentals are booked with one deposit by one person. Please note our cancellation policy regarding Group Rentals.
Whole Cove Rental: (This option is not available in July or August, or for most holiday or Peninsula event weekends.) This is a great option for family reunions, retreats, or wedding parties. The following terms apply to Whole Cove Rentals:
- $1200 per night
- A deposit of $1200 is required and becomes non-refundable 60 days before the arrival date of the Cove Rental.
- We have a two-night minimum for Whole Cove Rentals.
- The price includes tax but does not include pet or extra person fees. Our regular pet and extra person fee policies of $10 per pet or extra person per night (plus tax) will apply to Whole Cove Rentals.
- The renting party must provide the name of one guest per cottage, as well as the number of people and pets per cottage, 14 days prior to the arrival date.
- Shakti Cove’s maximum occupancy is 45.
Monthly Rentals: We do not provide monthly rentals.
Cancellation Policies:
A $10 cancellation fee will be applied to all refundable cancellations.
We ask that you honor your reservation. An early departure may result in a fee equal to the amount of the deposit.
Deposits become non-refundable:
- 7 days prior to the arrival date of a non-holiday or non-Peninsula event reservation
- 14 days prior to the arrival date of a holiday or Peninsula event reservation
- 30 days prior to the arrival date of a Group Rental
- 60 days prior to the arrival date of a Whole Cove Rental

Pets Are Welcome!

$10 per pet per night. Dogs need to be leashed and picked up after while on Shakti land, but may frolic freely off-leash on the beach. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the cottages. We appreciate your cooperation.
